Critical Rock Theory is Kansas City’s newest classic rock cover band that plays hits from bands note for note “concert style”. The five members of CRT all have extensive live performing experience.

Bob Ryan(lead vocals and harmonica) and Curt Clinkinbeard (keyboards, acoustic guitar and vocals) formed the band Exit 9 (later called High Drive) back in 2017. The two then met with Dave Benbow (former lead guitarist of the Foo Fighters tribute band called My Hero in 2020)but an illness and the corona virus meant no live music for at least another two years. Scott Belanger (drums) answered an ad for classic rock drummer after moving here from Illinois and Chris Immele (bass) most recently joined us to fill out this killer line up.

CRT plays Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Allman Bros, Bob Seger along with some great alternative hits from the 80’s and 90’s all with reverence to their musical heroes.
